Annoyed Strictly Come Dancing viewers took to social media to complain on Sunday night after a performance was ‘ruined’.
The latest results show of the BBC One dance competition saw Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez face their second week in the dreaded dance-off.
This time they were up against comedian Judi Love and Graziano Di Prima after a spectacular movie week.
Sadly, it was Gorka and Katie who became the second couple to leave the competition after only Anton Du Beke chose to save them.
However, during the results episode, there was also a special performance from Benn Platt, star of stage musical Dear Evan Hansen.
He gave a delicate performance of You Will Be Found from the show’s recent movie adaptation.
But Strictly viewers felt like the moment was marred by issues.
“Was looking forward to this #DearEvanHansen performance on #StrictlyComeDancing but the sound quality is ruining it. Awful. Can’t hear him sing,” tweeted one.
Another fumed: “#StrictlyComeDancing for goodness sake sort out the mixing of the music when you have guest singers as you can hardly hear them singing above the band playing.”
“I am sure it could have been wonderful, if you had switched his microphone on,” a third added.
A fourth complained: “Couldn’t hear him! Same with all your Sunday guests for the last few years. Do you have soundcheck?”
“Every time they have a singer on #strictly they turn the music up, the mic down and I can never hear what is being sung. It’s a bit pointless,” another said.
During Saturday’s programme Great British Bake Off star John Whaite topped the leaderboard with a paso doble inspired by Pirates Of The Caribbean.
Alongside dance partner Johannes Radebe, he was scored 39 by the judges – the highest score of any dance from the series so far.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.
