Coronation Street’s schedule shake-up is set to continue into next week.
Fans of the ITV soap will be disappointed that the usual Friday episode has been scraped tonight (November 12).
They were, however, treated to an episode on Tuesday night to cover the cancellation.
Friday’s episode has been bumped from the schedule, as well as fellow ITV soap Emmerdale, due to coverage of England’s latest 2022 World Cup qualification match.
The Three Lions will take on Albania for their penultimate qualifier at Wembley Stadium.
But Corrie fans will have to wait a bit longer for their return to Weatherfield.
England will also take on San Marino on Monday at the same time of 7pm, with a 7.45pm kick-off, again at Wembley.
Corrie will return to screens next Tuesday (November 16) instead.
Fans, however, haven’t been too happy.
“Dear #Corrie producers, I’m disappointed that you’ve scheduled in another Tuesday episode, which clashes with #BakeOff. If you have to show a football match then can’t you reschedule #CoronationStreet to a Thursday? I really hope this doesn’t happen again in #GBBO final week,” one fumed.
Another said: “Ffs no #Corrie until Tuesday football takes the p**s! Should stick it on its own channel.”
“Why can’t they just put the football (or Corrie) on ITV2, 3 or 4? It’s always the soaps that get messed around,” a third said.
