Another familiar face is set to join Coronation Street and Zeedan Nazir’s past comes back to haunt him.

The grandson of Yasmeen Nazir returned to Weatherfield out of the blue earlier this month.

The intentions behind his return were unclear, and he was left shocked to discover that Speed Daal is in serious financial trouble after his sister Alya fell for a bank scam.

Offering to help, Yasmeen and Alya questioned how he could get his hands on so much cash.

But when two thugs viciously attack him in the street, Zeedan was forced to explain why he was back.

He claimed that he had split from wife Mariam last year, and was looking for a fresh start.

Zeedan said that Mariam’s father wasn’t happy with him ending the marriage with his daughter and was threatening him.

Hashim said he was going to kill his former son-in-law and Mariam’s brothers were responsible for landing him in hospital.

Hashim has a demand for Zeedan

But Zeedan was completely honest and later confessed to having an affair and that Mariam’s family found out.

And next week, Hashim is set to pay Zeedan a visit in Weatherfield.

Zeedan is unnerved to find his ex father-in-law chatting to Yasmeen in Speed Daal.

He then spells out exactly what he wants from Zeedan.

Corrie viewers may also recognise the actor that will play him.

Hashim will be portrayed by Vincent Ebrahim who has appeared in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and hit BBC drama Killing Eve.

But he is probably best known for playing Ashwin Kumar in The Kumars at No. 42 and played the character again in 2014.

Vincent last appeared in Hollyoaks as Robert Gupta, also known as ‘Big Bob’.
