Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has issued a plea to fans for help over texts from a stranger.
The actress, best known for playing Chas Dingle in the ITV soap, took to Twitter for advice after receiving unsolicited text messages.
Lucy wrote to her 255,600 followers: “Can someone help?
“I’ve been having text messages from someone who doesn’t have my number by consent, and who won’t leave me alone!!!!!”
She then added: “What do I do????”
Lucy, 44, was quickly inundated with hundreds of replies from fans offering their advice.
The soap star is yet to update her followers as to whether she has been successful in stopping the unwanted messages.
It isn’t the first time Lucy has taken to Twitter after receiving scam messages or calls.
Earlier this year she urged her fans to be cautious after receiving calls about her National Insurance number.
She wrote online: “Just had a scam call involving an automated message informing me that my NI number was going to be suspended due to criminal activities!!I
“Didn’t follow the instructions, please be aware of these scam calls, apparently there are so many at the moment.”
Lucy has been at the centre of some big Emmerdale drama this Christmas after her beloved pub went up in flames.
Chas was already on to new business partner Al Chapman as he plotted and schemed to turn The Woolpack into luxury accommodation.
But it seemed Al wasn’t the only man behind the operation after he was beaten up as a warning to get the job done.
He then formed a plan which saw the pub explode, leaving Chas and Paddy without a home and Marlon Dingle without a business.
