ITV Coronation Street’s Bernie star Jane Hazlegrove looks worlds away from character as she poses with co-star

Coronation Street star Jane Hazlegrove looked worlds away from her on-screen character as she headed to a glitzy awards bash over the weekend. The actress, who plays Bernie Winter in the ITV soap, donned her best glam as she attended the British Soap Awards.

Following the star-studded soap bash, which was hosted by Phillip Schofield and aired live on ITV, Georgia Taylor, who plays Corrie’s Toyah Habeeb, took to Instagram with a stunning snap of the pair.

Jane dazzled in a royal blue, satin dress that featured long sleeves and a bow-tied waste. She paired the elegant look with a pair of sparkly silver showed and added a matching clutch bag while her hair had been pulled back with just a couple of strands curled to frame her face.

Georgia, who on-screen has been arrested and charged over the death of her husband Imran, also looked stunning in a floor-length green gown that swept across her shoulders. Her newly dyed blonde locks were also perfectly curled while she opted to do away with any accessories.

As she shared the beautiful pic, Georgia pointed out that being on the long-running soap isn’t the first time they worked together. ” Ruth and Dixie all scrubbed up (in a different way) for The British Soap Awards,” she captioned the post to her thousands of followers.

Prior to appearing in Corrie as Bernie in 2019, Jane was probably best known for starring for portraying the role of Kathleen “Dixie” Dixon in the BBC medical drama Casualty. She played the role from 2006 to 2016 before returning in 2019 and starring in more than 400 episodes.

Meanwhile, Georgia, who burst onto screens as part of the hell-raising Battersby family in 1997, appeared in the BBC One show as Ruth Winters from 2007 to 2011 before returning to Corrie in 2016.

As for the photo of the pair, it was soon flooded with compliments. Rachel Leskovac, who played Natasha Blakeman in Corrie, said: “Two stunners right there.” Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney commented: ” Both so gorgeous.”

Sally Carman, aka Abi Webster in the ITV soap, wrote: “ Pair of BABES,” alongside a string of flame emojis. Beth Sutherland star Lisa George shared: “You both look stunning,” while Tanisha Gorey (Asha Alahan) and Samia Longchambon (Maria Windass) bother agreed they were “gorgeous”.

And fans were just as complimentary. @lucy.gaskell said: “Two of my favourite northerners right there! Stunning! The pair of you.” @rosieyates_ replied: “You look absolutely stunning.” @_emily_k.n wrote: “Ruth and Dixie!! Now there’s a blast from the past… You both look gorgeous!”
