ITV star Stephen Mulhern delights fans with career ‘announcement’

Stephen Mulhern isn’t usually short of TV shows to appear on.

He’s the host of Catchphrase, has his own show In For a Penny, and appears regularly during Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

But Stephen, 44, may be eyeing up another programme – and he wouldn’t be a host.

The ITV star took to Instagram with a TikTok video of himself to mark the new year.

It showed him joining in a dance trend using the Meghan Trainor song, Title.

The video was filmed outside what looks like his home and featured the words: “When they say you can’t dance.”

Sharing the video with his thousands of followers, Stephen captioned the post: “Strictly 2022 here I come! #StephenMulhern #Fyp #newyear.”

And fans were keen for him to get slot on the 2022 series.

“I think you should accept if you get offered Strictly. Throwing some good moves there Mr Mulhern,” @jparton416 said.

The 2022 series of Strictly Come Dancing finished last month.

After 13 weeks it came between Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

After three stand-out routines and identical scores from the judges, the public voted Rose and Giovanni as their winners and the pair lifted the Glitterball trophy.
