One of Married at First Sight UK’s former couple have come back together for a ‘reunion date’.
Marilyse Corrigan and Franky Spencer tied the knot on the day they met to take part in the E4 reality show experiment.
After ending the show as a married couple, the pair revealed in October they had parted ways shortly after the show’s reunion aired earlier this year.
Franky had already moved from Dubai to the same town as Marilyse and been introduced to her teenage children.
But Franky posted an emotional statement on Instagram where he said: “It’s very sad because we get along great and have gotten through a lot of obstacles but it just hasn’t worked out.”
He did say they had remained friends and added: “Thank you Maz you’re a star! You and your family have been a very special chapter in my life.”
Marilyse also confirmed the split, calling Franky an “awesome, kind-hearted, incredible guy.”
And it is clear they remained friends as they met up with Marilyse’s children at a Leeds bar and restaurant.
Marilyse, who underwent a major operation last month as part of a kidney sharing scheme, posted snaps of the reunion on Instagram.
The personal trainer grinned for a photo with her ex-husband with a cocktail in hand while Franky managed a slight smile.
The pair were wearing matching black ensembles as they dined with Marilyse’s two teenage sons Callum and Josh, who she she shares from a previous relationship.
“Reunion date with this cool guy @fitcoachfranky,” Marilyse captioned the snap.
Franky also took to his own Instagram page with a photo of himself alongside his ex-wife as well as one with her sons.
“When you have a proper catch up about your experience and you see a pic of the Lake where you spent your honeymoon lol,” Franky commented.
“Really nice to see Maz is doing so well after her surgery and yes always brilliant to see Callum & Josh!”
Earlier this month Marilyse was all smiles as she headed out on the town in Manchester with her MAFS co-stars after donating a kidney to her ex-partner.
She had stepped in to save her former partner’s life because he has polycystic kidney disease.
