Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that her brand new camera was stolen during the week of her debut fashion show earlier this year. The creative director of PrettyLittleThing showcased her ‘biggest’ collection yet with a runway fashion show in London in February.
In August 2021, Molly-Mae announced she had been promoted to her ‘dream’ role of creative director of the Manchester-based online fashion site after releasing several of her own collections with the company.
The PLT fashion show was described by the 22-year-old as ‘unforgettable’ as Molly-Mae revealed she had been working behind the scenes on the show for six months.
But now the former Love Island contestant has revealed that during the same week her brand new camera was stolen, which she had only bought herself earlier that week.
On Tuesday (April 13) Molly-Mae told fans that she was doing a Q&A on her Instagram story during a drive in a fancy cab to London, and asked her £6.3m followers to send in questions.
One fan asked “Did you vlog the PLT fashion show and if so when is it coming?”.
Molly-Mae then told her Instagram followers that she did in fact vlog the show, but couldn’t post the video as her camera had been taken.
Explaining the situation, the social media star said: “So I’ve had a lot of questions about where my vlog is from that week. Basically my camera was stolen that week with my SD card in with all the footage from the fashion show.
“I don’t even like typing it because for ages I told myself my camera would come back to me some way and I could get the footage back (I don’t even care about the camera *even though it was a brand new one I bought that week*.
“I just wanted the SD card out of it with all the memories and footage on, but yeah I’ve accepted it happened now and that I won’t be able to put a vlog out from that week, I’m so heartbroken about it. Sorry guys.”
It is not the first time that the influencer’s belongings have been taken as her and boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury’s apartment in Hale was the target of an £800k burglary last year – which forced them to move out straight away
Last month Molly-Mae revealed her and Tommy had now bought their first home, after renting each of their previous pad’s. Molly-Mae shared a glimpse instead their lavish new abode and announced the will be documenting the couple’s home renovation on her new Instagram page @mollymaison_.
The couple now have the keys to their new home as Molly-Mae shared an insight into her celebratory house warming party.
But the influencer came under criticism from fans who said that it may not be a good idea for Molly-Mae to promote her home after their previous burglary in October 2021.
Despite this, the reality star told fans: “I know a lot of you won’t have been expecting me to do a home account as I have become a lot more private about what I post of our home life.
“However having a home account is something that I’ve always dreamed of doing. I’ve decided that I don’t want to let the past control my future, the way I live my life and what I share with you guys.!”
