Phillip Schofield has sent a message to Holly Willoughby as she misses This Morning for a second day.
The TV star had already ruled herself out of Wednesday’s show before it began at 10am with an Instagram post.
She took to her Instagram Stories to praise Josie Gibson who stepped into the main host slot at the eleventh hour on Tuesday.
Holly, 40, called in sick on Tuesday with Josie being drafted in an hour before the daytime programme started.
Phillip thought Holly would probably be back on air today (Wednesday) but she was still unwell.
After starting the programme and welcoming Josie back, Phil, 59, explained: “It was last minute Holly got her tummy bug.
“I was texting Holly all day yesterday afternoon and apparently it’s a tummy bug that is going round everywhere, everyone’s got it.
“It’s sort of a two-day thing, so she’s lost her appetite, so it’s pointless her coming in because we’ve got such lovely food in today!”
Her co-host and off-screen pal then added: “Morning, Hols. I hope you’re all right, and I’ll text you later – and we’ll probably see you tomorrow.”
Sending a message on Instagram to her replacement, Holly said earlier this morning: “Thank you @josiegibson85 for saving the day yesterday…. you are a dream.
“I’ll be back as soon as I’m in no threat of vomiting on @schofe.”
And viewers have been loving her being the co-host too leading them to making a demand to show bosses.
