Stacey Solomon sends fresh message to fans after devastating family loss

Stacey Solomon has shared an update with her loyal fans after announcing devastating family news.

The Loose Women panelist told her fans on Tuesday (December 28) that her beloved dog, Theo, had died on Boxing Day.

Stacey said the pup’s death had left her family’s ‘hearts broken’ as she shared selfies of herself with Theo as well as ones of him with her son’s Zachary, Leighton and Rex.

The 32-year-old spoke lovingly about her pet who passed away in Stacey’s home surrounding by the family at their home, Pickle Cottage, after ’11 wonderful years’.

After sharing memories, tributes, and videos to her beloved pooch, Stacey stepped away from social media as she came to terms with the loss.

On Wednesday afternoon (December 29), Stacey returned to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with her millions of followers.

Alongside a photo of two-month-old daughter Rose and their sausage dog, Peanut, Stacey wrote: “Hello Everyone…

“Last night when everyone was sleeping (the time of night Theo would sit on my lap and it would be just us), I sat and read your messages.

“Thank you. I can’t even tell you what comfort your kind words brought me. Knowing lots of you knew and cared about Theo through here makes me feel so much less alone.

“I feel so sad and guilty for some reason. I don’t know why but even with all of those feelings your kind messages made me smile and for that I am so grateful.

“Love you all to the moon and back.”

Stacey added that Peanut is “extremely sad” and that he is cuddling baby Rose “like a hot water bottle.”

The post also shared some of the messages Stacey had received from her followers expressing their condolences.

Stacey has often shared snaps of Theo and the family’s other pet pooch, Peanut, who joined the expanding family earlier this year.

Sharing the news about Theo, Stacey said: “Sweet Dreams Theo. The best friend we could have ever wished for. Our hearts are broken. Yesterday at home in our arms we had to say goodnight to our Theo. 11 wonderful years.

“We were so lucky to love you Fifi and we will never stop. My lap has never felt so empty. I miss you so much already. My little girl. But oh my goodness the memories and the love you brought into our lives.

“Thank you for everything Theo. For protecting me and the boys when we needed it most. For loving us no matter what and for holding on for so long and waiting to meet your little sister Rose.

“Rex has had the best friend in you that he could ever have wished for and the boys have had the best protector in the whole wide world. Even though Rex is only little I know him, Zachary and Leighton will never ever forget you.

“Peanut is missing his cuddle buddy very much so we are trying to make it up to him in our cuddles but I know it’s just not the same.”

She ended the emotional post: “Too the moon and back Theo Forever Sleep tight my beautiful little lady.”
