Stacey Solomon shares adorable first Christmas snap of baby Rose amid family’s heartache

Stacey Solomon says she didn’t want the end of the year to pass by before sharing an adorable snap of her daughter’s first Christmas.

It has been an upsetting time for the family after the Loose Women regular told her fans that they had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to their dog, Theo.

Stacey, 32, shared the sad news with her millions of Instagram followers earlier this week.

The TV star said the pup’s death at 11-years-old on Boxing Day had left their ‘hearts broken’.

She said Theo passed away in her arms surrounded by the young family at their home, Pickle Cottage.

But amid the grief, Stacey and fiancee Joe Swash were also marking baby Rose’s first Christmas.

The pair’s second child, after two-year-old son Rex, was born on Stacey’s birthday in October.

“Rose’s First Christmas,” Stacey began the caption on an adorable photo of herself and her grinning baby girl who was dressed in a festive red dress and matching headband.

“With all that happened over Christmas i didn’t take any photos. But Joe got this one I love it so much, I didn’t want 2022 to sneak up on me or Roses first Christmas to pass by before I got to share it.

“I hope you all have had a lovely Christmas. And are enjoying this in betweeny bit where no one knows what day it is.”

The former X Factor contestant also had a special message for her loyal fans.

“Thank you all so much for your kind, heartfelt messages for Theo. They’ve brought me so much comfort when I really needed it so I’m truly grateful.

“Love you all lots and lots.”

Stacey shared the news of Theo’s death on Tuesday (December 28), sharing memories, tributes, and videos to her beloved pooch.

The mum-of-four then stepped away from social media as she came to terms with the loss.

She later returned to Instagram on Wednesday to share a heartfelt message with her millions of followers.

Alongside a photo of two-month-old daughter Rose and their sausage dog, Peanut, Stacey wrote: “Hello Everyone…

“Last night when everyone was sleeping (the time of night Theo would sit on my lap and it would be just us), I sat and read your messages.

“Thank you. I can’t even tell you what comfort your kind words brought me. Knowing lots of you knew and cared about Theo through here makes me feel so much less alone.

“I feel so sad and guilty for some reason. I don’t know why but even with all of those feelings your kind messages made me smile and for that I am so grateful.

“Love you all to the moon and back.”

Stacey added that their Peanut is “extremely sad” and that he is cuddling baby Rose “like a hot water bottle.”
