Strictly Come Dancing’s Rose Ayling Ellis has revealed which professional dancer she’d like to have been paired with – if she hadn’t partnered Giovanni Pernice.
The EastEnders star has been winning praise from the judges and viewers throughout the BBC One competition.
Rose, from Manchester, had fans in tears over the weekend as she told her story after becoming the first deaf contestant on Strictly.
On Saturday night she and Giovanni performed a Couple’s Choice routine to Symphony by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson.
In a special moment, the dance featured a silent sequence in honour of the deaf community and Rose’s own experiences.
Rose and dance partner Giovanni spoke about the performance on Strictly’s BBC Two spin-off show It Takes Two.
“I feel it was a special dance because it shows the messages I wanted to show and we did achieve that,” Rose said.
“Because it’s not very often that we get the chance to show our world on a massive platform on TV like this, so I felt like I wanted to tell our story and our messages, because it’s positive and a lot of people, when they find out their child is deaf they feel like their world is crushed but it’s so positive.
“Being deaf is a gift.”
While on the show, with host Rylan, they were roped into a game to see how well they know each other after eight weeks of dancing together.
And one of the questions revealed some interesting information.
Rylan asked Rose: “If you had to choose a different professional partner to dance with, who would you have chosen?”
Showing his answer, Giovanni said: “It’s this one, I’m telling you now.”
And he was correct as Rose chose Aljaz Skorjanec.
The pair soon celebrated as they got all their questions correct showing just how in sync they are.
Aljaz was eliminated from Strictly on Saturday night with celebrity partner Sara Davies.
The couple found themselves in the dance-off with Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, who the judges unanimously opted to save.
