The Masked Singer fans were floored as nineties music icon Heather Small was unveiled as Chandelier in the opening episode of the new series.
The ITV celebrity guessing show was back for a third series on New Year’s Day.
And the M People singer became the first star to be unmasked and sent home in jaw-dropping scenes.
The Moving On Up hitmaker performed Patsy Cline’s Crazy – but no-one guessed who was behind the mask because she disguised her distinctive singing voice.
Judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were amazed.
And comedian Mo told her: “I’m such a big fan. I listen to your songs every day.”
Guesses from fans watching at home included Miriam Margolyes and Yvette Fielding.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their shock as an unmasked Heather took to the stage again to sing with her own voice.
@PrithaBardhan asked: “Heather Small sounded so much better when singing that Patsy Cline number in her own voice. Why did she decide to disguise it?”
@MummyToADiva gasped: “With a hundred guesses I would never have got Heather Small as Chandelier!”
