This Morning viewers were left unimpressed as they watched the show on Wednesday.

And even Phillip Schofield was a bit displeased.

That’s because the programme featured a Christmas segment – complete with Christmas tree in the ITV studio.

Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby were joined by beauty expert Sarah Jossel who was stood by the classic festive sighting.

Holly explained: “It feels like we’ve only just packed away the picnic blankets but apparently now is the perfect time to shop for your beauty advent calendar.”

“How do we feel? The Christmas tree is up,” Sarah asked to which Holly was delighted.

“Really happy,” the TV star responded but Phillip groaned: “It’s not even October yet!”

“I really don’t care,” Holly hit back as Phillip replied: “You’d have it all year round.”

Phil wasn’t impressed with the Christmas tree in the studio

But even This Morning viewers were ‘annoyed’ to watch.

“Advent calendars in September? No. Christmas gets earlier and earlier every year and it gets annoying,” tweeted one.

Another said: “@thismorning Christmas Tree 29th September madness.”

“They’re on about advent calendars on #ThisMorning already. We’re still in fecking September, will ye kop yourselves on ffs????” a third responded.

Sarah was in to chat about the beauty advent calendars for 2021

However, that wasn’t the main issue.

“There’s me thinking about splashing out £2-£3 on a proper chocolate advent calendar this year, these prices are ridiculous #thismorning,” one shared.

Another tweeted: “£75 for an advent calendar.. I’ll stick to my £2 chocolate one ta love #thismorning.”

“£215 for an advent calendar? Read the room for gods sake. People are skint. That’s their whole Christmas budget if they’re lucky #ThisMorning,” a third fumed.

A fourth added: “£215 for an advent calendar.. #thismorning once again thinking their audience are millionaires..”
