This Morning viewers tuned in to the show on Tuesday to not one but two changes.
Expecting to tune in to see Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield back at the helm of the ITV show, fans were left surprised.
That’s because there was a last-minute change just before the show went to air, with Holly calling in sick.
The 40-year-old was subsequently replaced by Josie Gibson.
The Big Brother winner turned TV presenter was on her way to present the show’s competition segment in Surrey when she was drafted in as the main host alongside Phil.
Opening the show, Josie said it was “surreal” to be presenting the daytime show and that she thought they’d made a mistake when they phoned her.
But Josie and Phil soon cracked on with the show and viewers took to Twitter to have their say about her This Morning main host debut.
“Bravo Josie! Knocked it out of the park! #ThisMorning,” @WestClareRose praised.
@EmmaMayne8 shared: “Josie Gibson breath of fresh air presenting #ThisMorning lovely vibe about her.”
“Just to say Josie had done an amazing job today #ThisMorning,” @lindyloo1449 added.
@kebabs1 commented: “Just want to say @Josiestweet is smashing it standing in last minute on @thismorning alongside @Schofe keep going Josie your smshing it #ThisMorning.”
And they all had a very similar demand.
“@thismorning Loving Josie on the show!!! More opportunities for her to present please,” @RomyBowdie tweeted.
@susannasholly added: “Josie Gibson was really good at presenting today! Can we have her presenting more often? #ThisMorning.”
“@Josiestweet how do we petition to make you regular presenter ? #ThisMorning,” @gentlemanmike shared.
@In2townmagazine said: “What a treat it was today to have @Josiestweet on #Thismorning Come on ITV make her a regular presenter, she was amazing. She lights up the screen and cheers everyone up. Amazing job Josie, well done.”
“@ITV I hope you’re reading all the positive tweets about the great job @Josiestweet did today presenting #ThisMorning. The people have spoken and there’s a lot of love for her – please make her a regular presenter!” @SunshineBay1996 added.
Elsewhere in the show, Gino D’Acampo also had a change of role – by becoming an agony uncle.
The chef followed in Miriam Margolyes’ steps after she became an agony aunt on Monday’s show.
Gino had the hosts and viewers in stitches with his advice.
