In his first sit-down interview with Tom Bradbury, who he has known for more than 20 years, Prince Harry opened up about his relationships with family members in his new autobiography Spare. Two days before his memoir, titled Spare, is published, journalist Tom gave Harry a grilling in a sit-down interview with the “most talked about man in the planet.”
But as Harry lifted the lid on conversations with his father King Charles and brother Prince William, including the revelation that he asked his father not to marry Camilla. Viewers pointed out a dilemma that while the historical interview was being aired on ITV, it was going head-to-head with Happy Valley over on BBC One.
Many fans said there was no contest as they chose the British crime drama, set and filmed in the Calder Valley, West Yorkshire, starring Sarah Lancashire and Siobhan Finneran, over the over real-life drama. TV presenter Eamonn Holmes asked: “9 pm on The Telly …. Happy Valley or Unhappy Harry?” And comedian Kate Robbins commented: “TV ratings battle. Happy Valley v. Prince Harry.”
@markdennison asked: “Oooooh, a choice of viewing this evening… Happy Valley or Unhappy Harry?” But @SSchiavo123 responded: “Anyone with half a brain will be watching Happy Valley instead of horrible Harry’s interview.” And @stuart11 said: “Happy Valley and the Harry interview up against each other on prime time TV. Happy Valley surely takes priority. I can see why Harry’s book is called Spare, it’s just relentless.”
@emmaverde9 decided: “Happy Valley no contest. Im not interested in what Harry has to say.” @zohrah tweeted: “Happy Valley or Harry the Interview? Happy bloody Valley obv!”
@1974Productions said: “Moaning Harry or Happy Valley……. Defo the Valley.”@LynseyAnneWhite said: “As if anyone will be watching Harry’s interview when Happy Valley is on!”
@87colB wrote: “Happy Valley as you don’t want to come across spoilers plus we always know what going to be in harry interview.” And @ChirpyPaul said: “Hands down it’s ‘Happy Valley’ tonight…*Sorry Harry… [yawning]”
But @ouhohhh said: “Happy Valley then Prince Harry’s interview … phew we’re eating good tonight.” And @Kirstyfraser94 asked: “Could they not have scheduled Prince Harry for 8pm, come on we want to watch Happy Valley.”
