Married at First Sight UK fans WILL get to see the finale episode after an evening of disruption.
Viewers were baffled on Thursday night when they tuned in to watch the last of the latest series after weeks of marital highs and lows.
However, they were instead shown a repeat of Wednesday night’s episode which saw the first part of the vow renewals between the newly-wed contestants.
The channel later cut to a message which said: “Sorry – the current show is not available on Watch Live. We’ll be back shortly.”
But fans were left in stitches as one of the contestants, Josh, kept being shown repeatedly on screen wagging his finger – causing him to become a constant meme on social media.
Viewers sat it out and waited for the episode, only then for First Dates to air instead – and they weren’t happy.
E4 tried to keep their viewers’ update and tweeted shortly after 10pm: “To confirm, #MAFSUK and Afters won’t be playing tonight.
“We’re sorry again – we’re working to make it available on All 4 and E4 as soon as possible and we’ll update as soon as we know more.”
They have now confirmed when the finale episode will air.
It will be shown tonight, Friday October 1, at the usual time of 9pm on E4, with MAFS Afters hosted by AJ Odudu straight afterwards at 10pm.
In a statement, an E4 spokesperson said: ‘Following the incident at the weekend, ongoing technical issues have meant that Thursday night’s episode of Married at First Sight UK was a repeat from Wednesday 29th September.
“We apologise to the fans of the show and have worked hard to get the episode to you this evening at 9pm.
“We hope that when you finally watch it you can find out whether Amy & Josh, Tayah & Adam and Morag & Luke renew their vows.”
