Whether you're upgrading to a bigger TV or replacing an existing model, opting for a 2025 model over a brand-new 2026 model can save you over $1,000. And because tech upgrades are mostly iterative these days, you won't be missing out on much. For instance, you can now get the excellent Samsung S90F — the TV Mashable's sister site CNET dubbed "the best OLED TV for most users" — for a literal fraction of its original cost.
The 65-inch Samsung S90F OLED TV originally retailed for $2,499.99 (as seen on Samsung), but now that the 2026 models have hit shelves, the price is down to only $1,397.99. That's just over 44% or $1,102 in savings. To put it another way: you'll be getting a 65-inch model for less than what folks paid for the 48-inch S90F TV last year (which is originally $1,499.99).

Thanks for signing up!We find that 65 inches is the sweet spot for most people and homes and the Samsung 65-inch S90F will really crank things up a notch. The OLED panel features deep black levels and rich colors, making it a stellar option for watching movies or live sports. The AI processor can even upscale older content to make it sparkle in 2026. There's also support for 144Hz VRR and lag times under 10ms, which CNET's reviewer says is "about as fast as a TV with this level of picture quality can get."
It's not quite as feature-packed as the step-up S95F (there's no glare-free coating or Dolby Vision HDR), but its excellent picture, high brightness levels, and quick response times make the S90F a better value in 2026 — particularly now that it's only $1,397.99.
