Friends, I'm not ready.

Three years since Season 1 hit Netflix, followed by two sublime seasons, Heartstopper is coming to an end with a movie, dropping one hell of a moving trailer for Heartstopper Forever. Dammit Olivia Rodrigo and your perfect "Stupid Song" scoring this thing! I need to work!

High school is almost over but Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) aren't, with our protagonists preparing to go long distance as university looms. But they're not the only ones facing the future, with Tao (William Gao), Elle (Yasmin Finney), Isaac (Tobie Donovan), Tara (Corinna Brown), Darcy (Kizzy Edgell), Imogen (Rhea Norwood), and Tori (Jenny Walser) all figuring out their next chapters.

Heartstopper Forever will be based on the sixth volume of Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, which is set to be released on July 7. Directed by Still Alice's Wash Westmoreland with series director Euros Lyn executive producing, the film is unlikely to leave us without a few major cinematic "hi" moments.

Honestly, I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Paris Crew, but growing up is inevitable. Here's to Heartstopper and the joyous exploration of queer identity and figuring yourself out that it is. Happy Pride!

Heartstopper Forever is streaming on Netflix July 17.
