Netflix's new murder-mystery documentary 'Maternal Instincts' is a shocking and bone-chilling story
Netflix's new murder-mystery documentary "Maternal Instinct" tells the shocking true crime story of Taylor Parker in a small East Texas town.
Netflix's new murder-mystery documentary "Maternal Instinct" is absolutely bonkers.
Basic info:
I'm a major fan of true-crime stories. It's simply a fascinating topic, even if it can often get very dark at a very fast pace.

That's why I was incredibly excited when I saw Netflix release a preview for its new documentary "Maternal Instinct."
The documentary hit the streaming platform last Friday, and I couldn't wait to dive in. I had no idea just how crazy things would get.
The documentary, which I will do my best to not spoil, focuses on a young woman by the name of Taylor Parker.

Parker is stopped by police in October 2020 with a newborn baby in her vehicle and blood everywhere. She tells the cops that she just gave birth, and they rush her to a hospital.
What unfolds throughout the documentary is a story that is so unbelievably crazy that it's almost hard to fathom.
Parker appeared to have it all. Money, connections and a boyfriend, Wade Griffin, and a baby on the way. That's what Parker desperately wanted people to believe.

However, what seemed like the perfect life was really a complex house of cards built on lies and insanity.
The most insane part?
Parker continues to appear pregnant with a growing stomach. Eventually, her due date comes and passes without a baby being born. Then the days continue to stack up with no baby. At this point, suspicion is growing more and more that something isn't just not right, but that something terrible might be underway.
That leads us to the climax of the story.
Parker commits a crime so heinous and so disgusting that it will make your stomach sick. Due to the fact that I don't want to spoil anything, I'm not going to give away the big reveal, but the fact she had a newborn baby when the cops stopped her should be a sign of what's coming.
There are few documentaries that truly can shock me. "Maternal Instinct" left me speechless as each layer of lies was pulled back until the final explosion that is so grisly it will make you sick. I can't recommend it enough if you're a fan of true-crime stories. Have you already seen it?
