At a July 22 Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in London, the Korean tech company provided a closer look at its upcoming Galaxy Glasses on the Android XR platform.
At Samsung Galaxy Unpacked on Tuesday, Samsung provided a closer look at its upcoming smart glasses. Samsung is working with Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster and Warby Parker on the design, and the glasses will run on Google's new Android XR operating system.

Google has been teasing its smart glasses collaboration with Samsung for months, and previously said the first pair of smart glasses would be released in 2026.

According to CNET, these glasses are display-free but have a camera, microphone, and speakers. It supports Gemini AI and can connect with Android phones and Google Wear OS watches. The glasses will run both Google Gemini and Samsung Bixby AI.
Samsung's COO of mobile experiences, Won-Joon Choi, told CNET that the glasses can run for 9 hours, while the case can charge them an additional 7 times.
The glasses will not have a built-in display, but will have built-in cameras for content capture and microphones to help power AI features.
