Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 leaks, see the sleek new wearable

With just days to go before Samsung's next big product showcase, the products themselves are leaking to an extreme degree, as per usual. While Apple tends to keep a tight lid on its devices' specs and features, Samsung smartphones and watches typically leak widely ahead of their official launch.

The latest leak comes courtesy of prolific leaker Evan Blass. On Substack, Blass posted several very official-looking renders of the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, just a couple of days before Samsung Galaxy Unpacked in London. The renders show not only the device's appearance but also text showcasing various specs.

Those leaked specs include an IP69K dust- and water-resistance rating and an 800mAh battery, much larger than the 590mAh cell in last year's model. It's also supposed to be 12 percent thinner and a good deal brighter, with its display's peak brightness set at 5,000 nits, up from 3,000 nits on the previous watch. That matches an earlier leak, which claimed the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 would have "a record-breakingly bright display."

Lastly, the leak claims the wearable will supposedly use the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip. Pretty much all of that lines up with other recent leaks.

There are only about 48 hours left before Unpacked at the time of publication, but maybe we'll get even more leaks before then.
