Portable speakers can get surprisingly expensive, but Amazon just knocked the Bose SoundLink Micro Portable Bluetooth Speaker (2nd Gen) down to a much easier sell. It's on sale for $79 instead of its usual $129, saving you $50. That's the lowest price we've seen for the compact Bluetooth speaker so far.

The Bose SoundLink Micro may be small enough to fit in your hand, but it punches well above its weight in sound. Bose managed to squeeze surprisingly full sound and deep bass into a compact design, making it a solid option for everything from beach days to kitchen playlists.

The speaker is waterproof and dustproof, so rain, splashes, or sandy conditions aren't likely to end the party early. Bose also doubled the battery life compared to the original model, with up to 12 hours of listening time, which means you can get through a full day without worrying about recharging halfway through.

If you prefer more bass in playlists or want voices and podcasts to sound clearer, the companion app lets you adjust bass and treble to better match your listening. And if a single speaker feels a little too small for a larger room or outdoor setup, you can pair two compatible Bose speakers together for a bigger, more immersive sound.

Grab the Bose SoundLink Micro Portable Bluetooth Speaker (2nd Gen) on Amazon while it’s still under $80.
