Did GTA 6 Extended Look live up to the hype? Fans react after years of waiting

For 26 minutes on a Thursday, the internet collectively stopped to watch a video game.

That video game was Grand Theft Auto VI, the long-awaited next entry in Rockstar Games' (in)famous open-world crime series. Netflix aired a pretty long video showing official gameplay for the first time, after about a week of rampant leaks.

After 13 years of waiting and mounting hype, you'd think social media would be ready to tear the game apart, especially after seeing a bunch of out-of-context clips leaked from an older build of the game. However, it turns out that Rockstar evidently did enough to satisfy its fans, judging by their reactions on social media. Even Major League Baseball weighed in.

We'll see if that enthusiasm holds up until Nov. 19, when the game finally comes out.
