Home Depot is one of the first major retailers to start its early Labor Day sale, and if you're looking for deals on major appliances, tools, or gardening equipment, it's the place to look. The discounts are already in effect, and the sale will continue until Sept. 9, though some choice bargains may disappear sooner.
Below, I've rounded up some of the best deals on tools and appliances I've found so far. (And I've used price-tracking tools to make sure these "sales" are actually a bargain.)

Right now, Home Depot also has an extra discount on top of its Labor Day deals. For select appliances (refrigerators, washers and dryers, freezers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, and over-the-range microwaves), you can get an additional $50 off when you spend $698; $100 off when you spend $998; $150 off when you spend $1,298; and $250 off when you spend $1,498 or more. You'll know the appliance is eligible when you see the "Buy More, Save More" banner under the price. Here are some of the best ways to score this double discount:
A stainless steel over-range microwave: Right now, the Whirlpool 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave is $229 (originally $410) after a 44% discount. This microwave has two fans that help mask the odor of whatever you're cooking.
An LG gas range: If you're in the market for a new gas range, the LG 30 in. 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Oven is now $1,425 (originally $2,499), a 40% discount. (This early deal expires at 3 a.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 28.)
A Whirlpool French door refrigerator: The best deal on a 33-inch fridge at Home Depot right now is the Whirlpool 22 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator, currently going for $1,799 (originally $2,599). This is the cheapest this fridge has been in months.
This oversized Bespoke fridge: For those who need a bigger fridge, the 36-inch Bespoke Refrigerator is also $1,799 (originally $3,199) after a 44% discount. It holds 29 cu. ft. inside with a four-door French-door design.
