Falcons' Tua Tagovailoa gets roasted on social media after allegedly commenting on his own post
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appeared to accidentally comment on his own Instagram post with a supportive message before deleting it and his wife posting one.
Tua Tagovailoa’s latest errant pass came in the comments section of his recent Instagram post.
The 28-year-old quarterback posted six pictures on social media of him with the Atlanta Falcons and captioned the post, "For the A" with a salute emoji. However, his mishap came in the comments section.
The quarterback appeared to comment on his own post, "We’re so proud of you!! You got this," with a heart emoji. The comment was deleted, and then his wife took to the comments section and posted a strikingly similar message.

"We are so proud of you! You got this!!" Annah posted with a heart emoji. The only difference between the comment from Tua’s account and Annah’s was the number of exclamation points.
While the comment was quickly deleted, the internet caught the mistake and roasted the quarterback for the mishap.
"Not even trying to hide the self-love is hilarious," one user wrote on X.
"Tua forgetting the burner is comedy gold," another posted on X.

"Oh brother this guy STINKS," someone else posted on X.
Another called the message of self-support "His Daily Affirmations."
OutKick reached out to Tagovailoa’s representatives for comment but did not immediately get a response.
Tagovailoa signed a one-year contract with the Falcons after being released by the Miami Dolphins to compete with Michael Penix Jr. for the starting quarterback job. Tagovailoa seemed to have an inside track toward the starting job with Penix’s training camp debut delayed because of his recovery from a torn ACL.
Tagovailoa has reportedly struggled in training camp, leaving the door open for Penix to take the job.
However, Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski has not yet named a Week 1 starting quarterback for the team’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team carried four quarterbacks on its initial roster, with Cooper Rush and Jack Strand also on the roster.
