Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend Brian Hickerson involved in bloody bar altercation weeks after star's death
Video shows a handcuffed and bloody Brian Hickerson at Wild Wing Café in Greenville, South Carolina, just weeks after Hayden Panettiere's death.
Hayden Panettiere’s boyfriend Brian Hickerson was involved in a bar altercation just weeks after the late actress' sudden death.
On Sept. 12 at approximately 9:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to Wild Wing Café in South Carolina after receiving a report of an assault inside the restaurant, according to a statement from the Greenville Police Department obtained by Fox News Digital.
"Upon arrival, officers located several individuals involved in an altercation and detained multiple patrons while the incident was investigated," police said.

Two of the individuals were identified as Hickerson and his brother, Zachary Hickerson.
Police said Zachary was "highly intoxicated" during the incident and began yelling profanities in a public setting. He was taken into custody on a disorderly conduct charge and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center.

In a video circulating online, Hickerson — who was seen handcuffed and bloody outside the restaurant - told Zachary, "GPD leaked it when my girlfriend died," referencing Panettiere's death and the Greenville Police Department.
In another video obtained by TMZ, Hickerson is seen throwing a bar stool before eventually getting carried out of the establishment.
Hickerson was later released from the scene and was not charged, GPD said.
Representatives for Hickerson and Zachary did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The incident comes less than a month after Panettiere, Hickerson’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, was found dead inside a Greenville residence on Aug. 16. She was 36.
Hickerson and his brother, Zach, called 911 after finding the actress unresponsive, according to a police report obtained by Fox News Digital. Hickerson later gave authorities a bag containing medication Panettiere had been taking, according to the report.

The police report claimed Zach appeared "very emotional" while paramedics worked to revive Panettiere. Meanwhile, Hickerson did not become emotional until the "Ice Princess" star was declared deceased.
Officers were also given a bag of medication Panettiere had allegedly been taking by Hickerson.
Hickerson reportedly traveled with the "Remember the Titans" actress from Los Angeles the day before she was found unresponsive at a Greenville, South Carolina, apartment complex on Aug. 16, according to TMZ. The two broke up briefly in 2022, but rekindled their romance the following year. Hickerson's brother confirmed to police Brian was in a relationship with the actress at the time of Panettiere's death.
Preliminary autopsy results found no signs of trauma that contributed to Panettiere’s death, the Greenville County Coroner's Office confirmed to Fox News Digital. However, Panettiere's death remains under investigation.
Fox News has learned the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has also been contacted and is assisting with the investigation.
Shortly after her death, Panettiere's mom, Lesley Vogel, opened up about her daughter's final months during an interview with "Good Morning America."
One day later, Panettiere's representatives condemned the speculation surrounding Panettiere’s final hours and accused outsiders of turning her death into an opportunity to "fuel gossip."
"Many people who were not close to Hayden are using her death as an opportunity to fuel gossip and speculation about a situation they knew very little about," Panettiere's rep said in a statement shared with US Weekly. "It is deeply disrespectful to her memory and to those who knew and loved her and are actively grieving this tremendous loss."
"If you have legitimate information that could be helpful, please contact law enforcement rather than turning to social media to speculate publicly about something you do not fully understand."
Panettiere's team also hinted that key details surrounding Panettiere’s death had yet to emerge.
"There is much more to this story than what is currently being discussed publicly, and those closest to Hayden are actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation to help ensure that the truth comes to light and that justice is properly served," the statement concluded.
