I used to use only HP laptops until I got my MacBook, but according to our Senior Shopping Reporter, Haley Henschel, this unassuming laptop beats Apple and other brands for battery life.

During hands-on testing, the HP OmniBook 3 16 Laptop clocked 40 hours and 14 minutes of continuous playback on a single charge. According to Henschel, "No other laptop we've tested (PC, MacBook, or Chromebook) comes remotely close to rivaling its stamina." In fact, it ran for nearly twice as long as Mashable's top-performing MacBook Pro.

"If you're looking for the best battery life laptop of 2026, your hunt ends here," Henschel wrote, noting that its "multi-day stamina" makes it the perfect match for on-the-go workers "who hate fighting over outlets at cafés and airports." Henschel praised its huge, surprisingly colorful 16-inch display, comfy keyboard, and added that it "runs super cool and quiet" even when stressed out with tons of browser tabs.
