Spotify users reported search, playback, and login problems on Sept. 29. Here’s what we know about the outage.
If Spotify won’t play your morning playlist, you’re far from alone.
More than 15,000 people in the U.S. had reported problems with the streaming service by 10:06 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
The problems appear to vary. Some users can play music but can’t search for songs or artists; others are seeing a "Something went wrong" message or having trouble logging in. Reports describe issues on both mobile and desktop, though the app may still work for some listeners.

There’s no confirmed cause or estimated time for a fix yet. If Spotify isn’t working for you, trying its web player or another device may help, depending on which part of the service is affected. We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
