Kai Cenat wants to take his time with GTA 6

Kai Cenat says his GTA 6 stream will prioritize exploration over rushing through the story, and encourages fans to take their time with the game.

After waiting 13 years for a new Grand Theft Auto game, Kai Cenat plans to take his time with it.

The streamer has clarified his plans for GTA 6, telling fans that his playthrough will leave plenty of room to explore rather than race through the story. In a post on X, Cenat said he wants to be "fully immersed" in the game and encouraged his audience to enjoy it at their own pace, too.

"Don't want you guys to think your [sic] about to see me try to beat the story fast as hell," he wrote. "Not happening."

Instead, Cenat said he'll combine story missions with "high-level exploration," discovering new features and enjoying the game fans have spent more than a decade waiting for. As for how long he'll be live, he's leaving that open.

"I ain't coming off stream until I feel like it’s the right time," he wrote.

The update follows Cenat's announcement of a separate GTA marathon ahead of the new game's release. As Mashable reported earlier this week, he plans to stream GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA 4, and GTA 5 in one sitting, with the broadcast scheduled to begin Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. ET on Twitch and YouTube.

For GTA 6, though, his message goes beyond what viewers should expect from his stream. Cenat also urged fans to make time for their own playthroughs, saying the internet moves quickly and people don't always appreciate good games while they're playing.

"Take time and really have fun!" he wrote.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches Nov. 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
